Dearborn Heights Tax Increment Finance Authority

The Dearborn Heights Justice Center project was initiated under our dear former Mayor Ruth Canfield on Sunday, September 16, 2001 at precisely 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The Groundbreaking Ceremony attracted many of Dearborn Heights' citizens as the project began. Two years later on October 18, 2006, the highly anticipated Dearborn Heights Justice Center completed its last stage of development. A ribbon cutting was held for the all new 20th District Courthouse and the Dearborn Heights Police Department.
