New identification signs installed in Dearborn Heights’ Daly Park

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (9/18/17) – Improvements continued on the City of Dearborn Heights’ Daly Park today, with the installation of 2 new identification signs.  The signs were funded by the City’s Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA).  Last year, TIFA was also responsible for the purchase and installation of 12 new LED lights throughout the park, which, coupled with the active participation by nearby neighbors, the Southwest Dearborn Heights Neighborhood Association and increased police patrols, has significantly reduced the number of gang and crime-related problems the park had experienced over the past few years.

“Daly Park is truly one of the gems of this neighborhood” commented Mayor Dan Paletko.  “We are delighted that, thanks to the active participation of TIFA, the residents of this neighborhood, our neighborhood association and our police department, it has once again become a park where families and individuals again enjoy some good, safe recreation.”
