DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (2/26/18) – The City of Dearborn Heights Department of Public Works recently constructed a new salt dome at its headquarters. Replacing the old, deteriorating structure, this one will provide proper storage of materials for years to come.
Upon hearing of the need for the new dome last year, the city’s Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA) approved a contribution of $50,000 toward its construction.
“We are happy to continue our support of the DPW through facility improvements at the headquarters located here in our TIFA District,” said TIFA Administrator Carmine Oliverio. “It is yet another way that we contribute toward the services from which our residents benefit.”
The DPW headquarters is located at 24600 Van Born Road, just West of Telegraph Road.
