DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (2/13/14) – The Southwest Dearborn Heights Neighborhood Association (SWDHNA), whose borders are located within the TIFA District, invites all residents and business owners in the area to participate in its upcoming events:
VALENTINE’S DAY MURDER MYSTERY DINNER
The Donovan VFW Post 78 (host for the SWDHNA monthly meetings) invites everyone for an evening of fun with dinner and a “murder mystery” activity on Friday, February 14 at 6:30-9:00pm. Cost is $14 per person or $25 per couple, and the dinner menu will include salad, roast beef, chicken marsala, potatoe, vegetable, and dessert. ELDER LAW SEMINAR
The guest speaker at the March 20 monthly meeting will be Attorney Kathleen Graham from the Elder Law & Advocacy Center in Redford. She will offer a general presentation on a range of topics including guardianship, wills & trusts, power of attorney, nursing homes/assisted living/senior housing, medicare & medicaid, elder abuse, financial scams and more, and will be followed by a question and answer session. Individual assistance will also be available to those 60 years of age and older, as well as caregivers for senior citizens. The presentation and assistance is FREE, and anyone living in Wayne County is welcome to come participate in this special offering.
The meeting starts at 7:00pm at the Donovan Post (25620 Van Born Rd), Dearborn Heights.
MONTHLY MEETINGS REMINDER
Association meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (unless otherwise announced) and start at 7:00pm. All meetings are open to the public and everyone (members and potential members, residents and business owners) is encouraged to attend. Meetings take place at the Donovan VFW Post, 25620 Van Born Rd (just East of Beech Daly Rd) in Dearborn Heights.
