DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (8/20/18) – On Wednesday, August 8, representatives from the cities of Dearborn Heights and Taylor met to discuss the proposed renovation of the Van Bord Road Corridor.
Facilitated by officials from WadeTrim, the planning consultant for both cities, the group discussed current perceptions of the corridor including strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. All those present expressed their optimism for the project and were appreciative to the mayors of both cities for their cooperative initiative on this much-needed effort.
Part of the group representing Dearborn Heights were TIFA Board members Lisa Korte, Rose Tripepi and TIFA Administrator Tom Rosco.
At the conclusion of the meeting, details were established for a public forum where residents of both cities will have the opportunity to offer their observations on Wednesday, September 19 at 6:00-8:00pm at the Richard A. Young Center in Dearborn Heights. [see related story here]
