DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (12/20/22) – Work crews were spotted again this past Fall trimming the trees located in the right-of-way along segments of McDonald, Annapolis, John Daly, Eton, Pennie, Powers, Glenis, Princess, Currier, Hazel, Dartmouth, Andover, and Colgate Streets.
The TIFA Board continues its annual budgeted amount of $25,000 to be spent toward this project in an effort to help the city meet its goal of maintaining a 5-year tree trimming cycle. This investment by TIFA made it possible to realize the maintenance of another 250 trees.
Each year, a section of the TIFA District is completed for as much as the funds will cover, then continue the next year where the previous year ended. This is done in an effort to provide for safety and adequate visibility for our neighborhood residents, public infrastructure workers and guests.
This annual project is done in cooperation with the city’s Department of Public Works, utilizing the city’s tree trimming contractor.
