DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (4/27/23) – Fire Station #1, located at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Annapolis Street in the TIFA District, recently received more needed improvements thanks to funding from the Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA).
The six (6) large garage doors of the apparatus room (in which the emergency vehicles are parked) were replaced after many years of wear and tear. In addition to the doors, the electric openers were also replaced, as some were no longer functioning and the doors had to be opened and closed manually… adding time during critical moments.
These improvements are part of the ongoing work done at Fire Station #1 that is eligible to be funded through TIFA.
