As always, the TIFA office is working to encourage economic development and activity within the TIFA District. In 2008, TIFA hosted an informative open house meeting for business owners in the TIFA District to make them aware of a new financial grant program called the Business Improvement Program. Essentially, this program is offered to help businesses and commercial property owners with the cost of updating their exterior appearance. Attendees found this information very useful and, since that time, a number of business and property owners have taken advantage of this unique oportunity. Those businesses interested in utilizing this program must simply review the guidelines and submit an application for review prior to beginning work. We encourage all businesses to consider this program – it may just be what you’ve been looking for!
