Saturn Marketplace re-opens

Saturn Marketplace re-opens

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (11/17/14) –  This past summer, the residents of the TIFA District were happy to welcome back the Saturn Marketplace on Van Born Road.  The market was forced to shut down earlier in the year due to a water pipe break beneath the structure which caused extensive damage to the store.  However, owner Dave Kassa worked hard not only to re-open, but also to expand the size of the store and its services offered.

The Dearborn Heights TIFA office organized a Grand Re-opening Ribbon Cutting ceremony on July 23.  In attendance were Mayor Dan Paletko, State Representative Andrew Kandreavas, city officials, TIFA board members and administration, as well as representatives of the Southwest Dearborn Heights Neighborhood Association and the Deaborn Area Chamber of Commerce.

A representative of Wayne County Commissioner Diane Webb was also in attendance and presented Mr. Kassa with a Certificate of Congratulations on the commisioner’s behalf, who was unable to be present due to commission meetings.

Everyone in attendance expressed their gratitude to Mr. Kassa not only for re-opening his store, but for investing even more in Dearborn Heights through his expansion for the benefit of all our residents and neighbors.
