DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (3/21/16) – The Southwest Dearborn Heights Neighborhood Association (SWDHNA), whose borders are located within the TIFA District, invites all residents and business owners in the area to participate in its upcoming events:
DALY PARK CLEAN-UP & PICNIC
The Southwest Dearborn Heights Neighborhood Association (SWDHNA) will hold its monthly Daly Park Clean-up & Picnic on the following days:
Saturday, May 14
Saturday, June 11
Saturday, July 9
Saturday, August 13
Saturday, September 10
The event will begin at 10:00AM and last until approximately 2:00PM. (If the weather is bad on the scheduled day, the event will be postponed to the following Saturday.) Neighborhood Association members will receive email or phone reminders.
A community picnic will immediately follow in the park for all volunteers. Hot dogs, potato chips and soft drinks will be provided by the association, and attendees are also asked to bring a picnic dish to share if they are able.
Daly Park is located on Westlake Street, between Hopkins and Lehigh Streets. (Approximately 3 blocks West of Telegraph Road)
This is the fourth year that the neighborhood association is holding this event as a way for the neighbors to spend some social time together while working to help keep this beautiful park in the heart of our local community clean and usable for the enjoyment of our residents. Everyone is invited to participate.
Please bring rakes, shovels, work gloves and whatever other landscaping equipment you think would be useful. Be sure to label all of your items with your name so they do not get confused with someone else’s.
MONTHLY MEETINGS REMINDER
Association meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (unless otherwise announced) and start at 7:00PM. All meetings are open to the public and everyone (members and potential members, residents and business owners) is encouraged to attend. Meetings take place at the Richard A. Young Center in Dearborn Heights.
