DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI (4/4/23) – The city’s Department of Public Works has a new fuel island system thanks to funding from the Tax Increment Finance Authority (TIFA).
Recent safety inspections revealed numerous problems with the old tank and fuel lines, including corrosion and mechanical deficiencies, necessitating an emergency replacement of the aging equipment that was in place.
The new fuel system (especially the storage tanks and lines underground) is now operating properly for the safety and well-being of our employees and environment.
The DPW headquarters is located at 24600 Van Born Road, just West of Telegraph Road.
